Each Barronarts Stretcher & Strainer features FULL BASSWOOD CONSTRUCTION, from outer frame to crossbars.  Basswood is the finest stretcher frame lumber in the world.  It is clean, straight, knot-free, and exceedingly stable. 

Basswood is also sustainable...grown in highly managed domestic forests right here in the US and Canada.  We do not use any rainforest or endangered wood of any kind in our studio. This results in the highest quality and most environmentally-conscious stretcher frame on the market.

Having built & painted on every kind of stretcher available, we know what works and what doesn’t.  Our almost 30-year national reputation has been built on high-quality, custom-built, affordably-priced Fine Art Stretchers & Strainers.
